The staff and children are working hard at building a restorative culture within our school. We are working under the guidance of Michelle Stowe (connectrp.ie)
Here are the restorative questions we are using with the children when conflict arises:
1. What happened?
2. What were you thinking/ feeling at the time?
3. What are you thinking/ feeling now?
4. Who is sad/ hurt now and in what way?
5. What could have been done differently?
6. How can we fix this/ make amends?
Our school is committed to the use of Restorative Practice which is all about building relationships through positive communication!
All of us here in our school community are seeking to grow our practice all the time! We wanted to share some of the skills that we are learning and teaching our children with you all. We feel they might be as relevant in the sitting room as the classroom so we wanted to share the RP love with you all :-)!
You are invited to engage with this 10 part learning module (10 x 5 minute approx. videos) for parents/guardians about modelling Restorative Practice (RP) at home. Use the QR code below to access the content.
