Mission Statement and Ethos
Bishop Shanahan National School is a Catholic co-educational school in the parish of St Jude the Apostle, Willington, catering for children from Junior Infants to Second Class. Since its opening, the school has endeavoured to create a warm, secure environment for all the children. The school is under the patronage of the Catholic Archbishop of Dublin.
While Bishop Shanahan N.S. is a school with a Catholic ethos, it also has due recognition for all other religions. It promotes Christian values, sensitivity to others, compassion for the weak and a sense of duty to society.
